I am artist based in North Yorkshire, UK. My back ground is in contemporary fine art and teaching. I have a long-standing relationship with clay; my parents set up their own studio pottery before I was born so as long as I can remember I have had clay in my life. When we were little my siblings and I would play with clay while my parents worked. I used to make little dioramas with figures sitting on sofas, which my mum would glaze and fire for me. Maybe it’s because of this that I find myself being instinctively drawn back to working with clay.

My clay work is intuitively hand crafted using coiling, slab-building, modelling and pinching techniques. Each piece I create is unique, from the brush strokes on the surface to the physical imprints that intentionally remain, serving as a testament to the making process.

I work from my home studio and AHH studio collective, where I run workshops from time to time.
